Let’s start baking!

Yield one 8×8 square pan

Ingredients

For the brownies

1/2 cup all purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/3 cup cocoa powder ( I used dark cocoa powder )

1/2 cup unsalted butter

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup white granulated sugar

For the peanut butter swirl

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

2 tablespoons powder sugar (sifted)

Directions

For the brownie

1.- Preheat oven to 350 F. Line your baking pan (8×8) with parchment paper (bottom and sides). Set aside.

2.- In a medium size saucepan, melt butter. Add sugar and mix for 2 minutes. Then, let the mixture cool for 5 minutes. Add eggs and mix really well so we prevent our eggs from cooking. Add vanilla. Mix.

3.- Add cocoa powder, mix. Add flour, baking powder and salt. Mix until you don’t see any leftover flour.

4.- Pour brownie batter into prepared baking pan.

For the peanut butter swirl

1.- Heat the peanut butter in the microwave for 60 seconds.

2.- Add powdered sugar and mix really well.

3.- With the help of a spoon drop the peanut butter mixture on the top of the brownie batter. Using a knife start making swirls.

4.- Bake for 25-30 minutes.

5.- Cool and cut into squares. I got 16 small squares.
