White Chocolate Bourbon Gingerbread Bars

Happy Monday! When my friends at Four Roses asked me if I wanted to be part of their holiday collab, I said YES! We always have Four Roses Bourbon at home and I love baking with it.

This recipe is super quick and delicious, perfect for the holiday season because it has spices, molasses, chocolate and a good splash of bourbon.

Also, I posted a video of how I made these bars on my Instagram, so don’t forget to check it out. Click HERE.

Let’s start with the recipe.

Yield 9×13 inch baking pan

Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon ground allspice

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

1 and 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled

1 large egg at room temperature

1 cup dark brown sugar

1/3 cup dark molasses

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

3 tablespoons Four Roses Bourbon

3/4 cup chopped white chocolate or white chocolate chips

powdered sugar for decorating

Directions

1.- Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease your pan bottom and sides with butter or cooking spray. I recommend to line your pan bottom and sides with parchment paper because it is easier to pull bars out before cutting.

2.- In a small bowl mix flour, baking soda, salt, allspice, nutmeg, cinnamon and ginger. Mix well and set aside.

3.- In bigger bowl, mix melted butter and egg. Then, add dark brown sugar and mix for one minute. Add molasses and keep whisking. Pour in vanilla extract and Four Roses Bourbon. Mix until everything is smooth.

4.- Add dry ingredients into the wet ones and using a spatula mix well until you don’t see any leftover dry ingredient. Mixture will be a bit lumpy. Finally, add in white chocolate and mix.

5.- Pour the mixture into your prepared pan and use a spatula or a spoon to spread it evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the center is set.

6.- Let it cool completely. When cooled, take it out from the pan, sprinkle some powdered sugar on top and cut into squares.

Enjoy!
